04 Feb All About Natalie
Natalie Bollu, Speech and Language Therapist, BA (Hons) PG Dip MRCSLT
Natalie qualified from City University London in 2016 and she has a specialist interest in working with those who stammer. Natalie is passionate about working with children and adolescents to not only improve and recover their fluency, but to help them become confident…and stammer with confidence! As well as teaching strategies for managing stammering, Natalie focuses on the importance of acceptance, positive thinking and the individual’s strengths to help them to be the most effective communicators they can be. Natalie works on a one-to-one basis as well as with groups and in schools in mid and south Essex.
Natalie will be running weekly stammering groups in 2019 for ages 6-17. These groups will focus on developing confidence in communicating, a more positive attitude to speaking, and decreasing sensitivity to stammering. Strategies for managing stammering and increasing the feeling of fluency control will be taught in a friendly group setting where children and adolescents can meet new friends whilst developing their skills.
