About us: Essex team

Our qualified Speech and Language Therapists are registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council.

C&D Speech and Language Therapists attend regular training and Clinical Excellence Networks, have high levels of supervision and meet with professional colleagues regularly to maintain and enhance skills.


Cassandra Pierson

Speech and Language Therapist

Cassie is one of the service leads in C&D, overseeing the Essex team.

She has experience working with children of all ages with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties in schools and clinical settings. Particular areas of interest include speech delay and disorders and secondary aged difficulties. She is qualified and experienced in the use of Makaton signing, British Sign Language (BSL), Signalong, Lidcombe Early Stammering Intervention Programme and Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). She has experience of working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), speech delay/disorder and language delay/disorder.

Cassie works in schools and clinic in mid and north Essex but she will be on maternity leave from September 2019.

Cassie loves aerial arts and spending time with her family.


Natalie Bollu

Speech and Language Therapist

Natalie qualified from City University London and has worked with children and adolescents with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties in schools and clinical settings. She is trained and experienced in using various therapy techniques including: Word Aware, Lego Therapy, Attention Autism, Signalong, Cued Articulation, Solution Focused Practice, Swindon Fluency and Colourful Semantics.

Natalie works with schools in mid and south Essex. She specialises in dysfluency.

Outside work, Natalie loves hiking, travelling, all things Disney and star/planet gazing with her telescope!


Gail Evans

Speech and Language Therapist

Gail trained as a Speech and Language Therapist after time spent travelling, teaching, working in the media and having three children. Since qualifying, she has worked primarily with clients with Learning Disabilities. Gail is qualified and experienced in the use of Makaton signing, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Shape Coding and Social Stories.

Gail works in our clinic and schools in the Witham area. Her particular areas of interest include Autistic Spectrum Disorder and selective mutism.

Gail loves live music and theatre, when she finds the time in between looking after her children and growing menagerie (fish, cats, a tortoise, and now a puppy!)

Molly Beach

Speech and Language Therapist

Molly graduated from the University of Essex with a MSc in Speech and Language Therapy. Prior to this, Molly studied Psychology and worked with adults with an acquired brain injury.

Molly completed one of her placements with us as part of her MSc course. During this placement, she supported children with a variety of communication difficulties, including speech sound disorders. Alongside this experience, Molly has worked with children and adults with complex communication needs. This work has centred around facilitating forms of augmentative and alternative communication, including eye gaze technology. Her particular area of interest is dysfluency.

Molly works in our clinic and in schools in the Colchester and Tendring area.

In her spare time, Molly likes eating delicious food with friends and family. She also enjoys staying active, which often involves taking her rescue Greyhound on long walks, in the countryside.


Kerry McCrory

Speech and Language Therapist

Kerry graduated from University of Reading in 2019 with a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy. Kerry works in schools in the Basildon and Tilbury areas. She is trained in approaches such as WordAware and the Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme, and is particularly interested in working with children with Speech Sound Disorders.

Kerry loves travelling to different cities; she also enjoys running, cycling and cooking.


Natalie Hayward

Administrative Assistant

Natalie works in our clinic to carry out the administration duties, including answering enquiries via the telephone and email systems, booking appointments, completing daily and monthly invoicing, and assisting the team with any other duties as required.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending most of her free time with her daughter, family, friends and dog. Her hobbies and interests include caring for her horse, horse riding, cycling, jet skiing and other water sports.
